UPDATE 2 (Feb. 24 20:18 UTC): A fiber break is suspected on a 216-count cable in Monticello, GA. All crews have arrived onsite. Crews are canvassing the area to identify the location of the break. Splicing resources are also locating an accessible hand hole to perform additional light level measurement testing in both directions to further isolate the point of failure. Further updates will be provided as they are received.
UPDATE 1: The circuit vendor reviewed remote light level testing and suspects damage is located on a 216 count cable in Monticello, GA. Splicing and Construction Teams have been engaged, and technicians are expected to arrive on site at approximately 19:30 UTC. Upon arrival, crews will begin visual identification of the damaged cable segment as well as additional light level measurements. Additional updates will be provided as they are received.
